I really wouldn’t make a Phantom here, despite the bandanna or whatever. No adventurers that have 4th job skills and such. I guess you could wait a year for it to get merged, but… nah.
In other news I AM SO EXCITED FOR PHANTOM! Yay for vaugely explicit dialogue.

MapleStory Renegades~ v.112, and Nexon attempts competency.
You know, a new job has this odd tenancy to play hell with a blag. Anyway, back from the dead (again) with details on Maplestory’s summer update, Renegades!
I always picture Hime playing a female Jett. Dunno why.
Back from the Dead! This does look exciting though. For people complaining about the lack of a Pirate Hero, I’d guess that there are two things behind that. First, someone involved in the Pirate quest mentions that Pirates use newer technology, so I imagine that’s why there isn’t really a Pirate Hero. Second, there seems to be a rash of region exclusive Pirate jobs, so KMS might even get their own.
Also, M.A.P.L.E. was right after all. Huh.
The newest patch in Tespia has released the final hero, Luminous! This is a mage class and has a new weapon called the Shining Rod! This patch changes certain things about MapleStory!

MapleStory v.110 – Lucky 7th Mapleversary

Miwok Boys: I guess I’ll cover it.
The most annoying part of this is actually that I had to get on my Battle Mage.
Anyways! The Miwok boys event is pretty simple. At :05 and :35 minutes of every hour, you’ll get an invitation floating above your head to The Royal Wedding of Shining Armor and Princess Mi Amore Cad- wait, wrong event. Anyways. Accept the invitation, and you’ll be taken to a map where you have to do the hardest thing ever.
Kill monsters.
Yep. Just kill them, and collect the little Indian Boys they drop. I’m sorry; Native American boys. Also, destroying the smaller cage will force around 3 boys to drop. Killing the larger Tiger and using the key on the larger cage will let 8~ish boys drop.

In a group of around 9 level 80 characters, we got 70-90 boys, so not bad. I still would really like them to fix it though.

I was pretty excited about the Miwok Boys Event. I mean, a chair, and a title?! Best event ever.
And it’s even somewhat interactive! Go Nexon!

MapleStory Dev Blog – A new character?!
Some of you have seen MapleStory’s new Developer Blog, which can be found here. Mostly it talked about stuff such as the recent downtime and the Alliance Eternal Patches, as written by GM Michael (No relation to me, though I’d love to work for them).
One little tiny tidbit did catch my eye though…

This more or less confirms a few things I’ve been guessing at, some in my favor, some in, well, less so.
First of all, GMS broke the Alliance Patch Series differently than KMS. The last three patches we’ve had, Alliance Rising, Unbound, and Eternal, were the forerunners to the Beginning of the Counterattack patch in KMS, which in turn led to Phantom and Aswan. GMS is pitching them separately, with the Thief/Pirate revamps, Phantom, and Aswan, presumably, coming after.
Second, this will be in the Summer patch, not as part of the Anniversary patch. Oh well.
Third, and this is most interesting, “we’re also preparing a brand new hero that will be exclusive to Global MapleStory“.
I have no clue what to say. Other than, thankyounexonohmygoshyaynessholypomegranitethisiswhativealwayswanted.
Ahem. Anyway, this is very, very, odd. GMS rarely does exclusive content, and rarely is it anything as complex as a class. First of all, I’d guess that it will not be a class that fits in with the established classes, so probably not the Pirate Hero, or the Thief Resistance class. Also, it’s probably not Mikhail. I hope. Second, I’d guess that it will probably be released to KMS, at some point. Probably not immediately, but still.
Either way, we should also be looking forward to some new, exciting events for the anniversary! I’m looking forward to my “Special Treat”. Do I get a date with Hime?
